A 58-year-old man with diabetes, end-stage renal disease, and severe peripheral arterial disease had a chronic ischemic foot ulcer refractory to one year of conventional therapy. Injectable collagen-based regenerative therapy produced complete epithelialization within three months and durable limb salvage, even after a thermally induced recurrence requiring revascularization.
