First-in-Human Adjunctive Bacteriophage Therapy for Malakoplakia

This study shows bacteriophage therapy can successfully treat Escherichia coli malakoplakia in kidney transplant patients. The novel CRISPR-enhanced phage SNIPR001, combined with other treatments, led to lesion resolution and disease regression without side effects.
