ECONOMIC STUDIES IN BRAZILIAN ORTHOPEDICS: A SCOPING REVIEW

Objective:
To identify and analyze economic studies in orthopedics conducted in Brazil, classifying them according to the type and completeness of the analysis.
Methods:
Scoping review conducted according to PRISMA-ScR guidelines. Searches were performed in PubMed and BVS, including LILACS, using descriptors related to economic evaluation, orthopedics, and Brazil. Studies conducted exclusively in Brazil were included, with no year restriction.
Results:
Ninety-five records were identified, and 13 studies remained after application of the eligibility criteria. Of these, nine were complete economic evaluations and four were incomplete analyses.
Conclusion:
There is a scarcity of complete economic evaluations in orthopedics in Brazil. Level of Evidence III; Review article.
