Abstract:
Herein, we report a simple, yet efficient synthetic strategy for the preparation of C3-, C4-, and C6-functionalized carbazoles and systematically investigate the influence of appended chromophores on their physicochemical and electroluminescence (EL) properties. The OLED of Cz-Ph-Cz demonstrates pure near-UV EL with an EQE of 3.6% and a CIEy of ∼0.06.
