Abstract:
By employing a cation substitution strategy of replacing Sr2+ with Ba2+ in the Sr2YTaO6:Bi3+ (SYTO:Bi3+) phosphor, a novel Ba2YTaO6:Bi3+ (BYTO:Bi3+) material with superior luminescence properties was successfully developed, achieving a remarkable 4.8-fold enhancement in emission intensity. Furthermore, two distinct WLED devices were successfully fabricated using this material, both of which exhibited excellent illumination performance. The results indicate that the cation substitution strategy serves as an effective approach for boosting the luminescence of Bi3+ and holds great promise for widespread applications in WLEDs.
