Abstract:
Elbow overuse pathologies are primarily based on repetitive microtrauma and biomechanical loading patterns, including valgus stress, compression, and tensile forces, which lead to a broad spectrum of pathologies such as tendon and ligament injuries, osteochondral damage, and stress fractures. Imaging modalities, particularly ultrasonography and magnetic resonance imaging, play a critical role in the early diagnosis of these pathologies, localization of injury, and detection of associated lesions. Evaluating elbow pathologies according to compartment-based anatomy and biomechanical loading patterns facilitates accurate interpretation of radiological findings and helps guide clinical management.
