Bright broadband red-emitting antimony-based halide with a seesaw configuration toward white light-emitting diodes

Abstract:
We report a solvent-free mechanochemical synthesis of MTPPSbCl4 with an isolated monomeric seesaw [SbX4]- configuration. The resulting material exhibits intense broadband red emission centered at 628 nm with a photoluminescence quantum yield of 39.5%.
