Abstract:
An electrochemical approach for the synthesis of dihydro-1,3-benzoxazines via oxidative sp3 C-H functionalization is described. The method operates under mild conditions and is compatible with a broad range of 2-naphthols and secondary alkylamines, providing rapid access to structurally diverse products in good yields. Mechanistic studies suggest the formation of a key adduct, followed by a TEMPO-mediated oxidation-annulation sequence.
