Abstract:
Organosilica-derived SiOx/C hollow spheres are demonstrated to function as durable lithium-ion battery anodes. Their ultrathin hollow shell shortens Li+ diffusion pathways, while the carbon network enhances charge transfer and interfacial lithium-storage kinetics. Consequently, the spheres achieve 73.3% capacity retention over 1700 cycles at 1.0 A g-1, outperforming the dense analogue.
