Photocatalytic difluoroalkylative cyclization toward gem-difluoro-diazocinocarbazoles
Abstract:
Diazocinocarbazoles are attractive scaffolds for medicinal chemistry and optoelectronic materials but remain challenging to access. Herein, we report a visible-light-mediated radical cyclization for the efficient synthesis of gem-difluoromethylene-embedded diazocinocarbazoles. This mild and operationally simple protocol exhibits broad substrate scope and functional-group tolerance, furnishing diverse products in moderate to good yields. Scale-up synthesis, downstream derivatizations, and preliminary photophysical studies further demonstrate the synthetic utility and application potential of this method.
