Abstract:
Experiments using animal infection models are necessary to analyze the pathogenicity of bacterial genes in animals. Infection models using silkworms make it easy to conduct infection experiments using many animals and are effective for identifying and evaluating the functions of genes involved in the pathogenicity of various bacterial species. In this chapter, we introduce the experimental methods using the silkworm infection model.
