Abstract:
This article provides a review of conscious sedation in dental practice, emphasizing safe techniques for managing patient anxiety across oral, intranasal, and intramuscular routes. Emphasis is placed on preoperative assessment, including airway evaluation and behavior scoring in pediatrics. Pharmacologic profiles of sedative agents are reviewed. Postoperative recovery and discharge protocols are discussed with a focus on patient safety and evidence-based practice.
