Abstract:
Deep bite is one of the most challenging malocclusions to correct orthodontically, yet the comparative effectiveness of available wire materials for intrusion arch fabrication remains insufficiently studied. Therefore, it is of interest to assess the rate of maxillary incisor intrusion achieved with each wire type over a defined period, analyzing the efficiency of force application and biomechanical properties. Ten patients in the age group of 15-30 years were assigned to two groups: Group A (0.017" x 0.025" TMA wire) and Group B (0.018" Special + AJ Wilcock wire). Clinical and radiographic evaluations were conducted at baseline (T0) and after 3 months of active intrusion (T2). Thus, data shows the understanding of AJ Wilcock wire's potential in improving deep bite correction outcomes in specific orthodontic cases.
