Abstract:
In regenerative dentistry, platelet rich fibrin (PRF) has been used as a concentrated autologous growth factors capable of encouraging tissue regeneration. Hence, ten patients requiring bilateral mandibular third molar extraction with similar difficulty index were included in the study. Following surgical extraction, A-PRF and I-PRF prepared using low-speed centrifugation protocols were placed into the extraction sockets during separate appointments conducted at a two-week interval. Following surgical extraction, A-PRF and I-PRF prepared using low-speed centrifugation protocols were placed into the extraction sockets during separate appointments conducted at a two-week interval. Thus, A-PRF and I-PRF prepared without anticoagulants using a low-speed centrifugation protocol in mandibular third molar surgery.
