Abstract:
Telangiectasia macularis eruptiva perstans (TMEP) is a rare subtype of cutaneous mastocytosis with a favorable prognosis and typically no systemic involvement. Although mast cell infiltration is a key histopathological feature, the cost and invasiveness of biopsy can deter patients from undergoing the procedure. Non-invasive techniques such as dermoscopy and reflectance confocal microscopy (RCM) can be helpful in the diagnosis of TMEP. However, the dermoscopic and RCM features of TMEP have not been fully elucidated. Herein, we report a case of TMEP and describe its dermoscopic and RCM features.
