F-18 FDG PET/CT of Concurrent Cutaneous, Osseous, and Bilateral Breast Metastases From Endometrial Carcinoma

Abstract:
Endometrial carcinoma rarely metastasizes to the skin, bone, or breast. We present F-18 FDG PET/CT findings in a 54-year-old woman with endometrioid adenocarcinoma who developed skin papules 22 months after hysterectomy. Skin biopsy confirmed endometrial origin. F-18 FDG PET/CT for restaging revealed widespread hypermetabolic disease involving skin, lymph nodes, skeleton, and bilateral breasts, with vertebral and breast lesions lacking CT correlates. This case highlights the value of F-18 FDG PET/CT in detecting occult dissemination at unexpected sites in endometrial carcinoma.
