Abstract:
Single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq), which revolutionized the field of biology, is used to analyze gene expression at the individual cell level, providing insights into cellular heterogeneity and rare cell populations that are often masked by traditional bulk RNA sequencing. The technique has been applied in entomology to define cellular heterogeneity and response to pathogens in insects. In this chapter, we describe how to perform scRNA-seq of adult Aedes aegypti midgut.
