Summary:
This review aims to summarize important concepts related to electrical stimulation for the induction of seizures as it is understood in 2026. We discuss the history of electrical stimulation; we describe important methodological considerations when stimulating; we review key recent publications regarding the clinical validity of stimulated seizures; and we mention emerging areas of interest and opportunities for continued exploration.
