What Is Already Known About This Topic?:
The National Health Commission established a sentinel surveillance project for major nutrition and chronic disease issues in 2022, with a four-tiered full-process quality control (QC) system, monitoring Healthy China Action 2030 indicators.
What Is Added By This Report?:
A 68-indicator QC system was developed through two Delphi expert consultation rounds. Application across 38 surveillance sites (2023-2025) showed 95.67% (2,472/2,584) overall compliance. Physical measurement was the weakest dimension. Regional disparities narrowed after targeted interventions.
What Are The Implications For Public Health Practice?:
This system identifies surveillance weaknesses, guides targeted improvements, and provides a replicable reference for QC in other population-based surveillance programs.
