Abstract:
Strategic alliances have become an increasingly important mechanism for enhancing competitiveness, resource sharing, and value-chain integration in the seafood industry. The dataset presented in this article was developed to support efficiency assessment, forecasting, and alliance simulation among seafood companies listed on the Vietnamese stock market. Financial information was compiled from publicly available audited annual reports of 25 firms covering the period 2020-2024. Six financial indicators, including total assets, cost of goods sold, selling expenses, administrative expenses, net sales, and operating profit, were standardized to construct a harmonized panel dataset. In addition to the original observations, the repository contains forecasted values for 2025 generated using the Grey GM(1,1) model, together with a supplementary dataset of 24 virtual alliance configurations evaluated using the Super-SBM Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) framework. The data can support future research on efficiency measurement, benchmarking, forecasting, strategic alliances, productivity analysis, and the development of alternative quantitative frameworks for evaluating firm performance.
