Abstract:
Here, we engineer self-assembled planar micron-scale protein nanosheets through rational protein design. The protein nanosheets are stable in serum and evade macrophage uptake. These properties enable prolonged extracellular persistence, making them suitable extracellular protein carriers for local therapeutic applications.
