Abstract:
Custom antibody synthesis is both expensive and time-consuming. Therefore, the ability to repurpose existing commercially available antibodies to detect their corresponding C. elegans orthologs can be very beneficial. Here, we attempted to use the commercially available DJ-1 antibody NB300-270 to detect C. elegans DJR-1.1 and DJR-1.2 proteins in whole worm lysates. Our results indicate that the NB300-270 DJ-1 antibody does not detect C. elegans DJR-1.1 or DJR-1.2 proteins in whole worm lysates .
