Abstract:
The development of non-noble-metal catalysts is crucial for electrochemical nitrate reduction to ammonia. Herein, we constructed a Ce-doped Cu(OH)2/Ni(OH)2 heterostructure on copper foam, which modulates the electronic structure and introduces oxygen vacancies to promote H* generation, thus effectively enhancing performance, achieving 98% FENH3 and 45.8 mg h-1 cm-2YNH3 at -0.4 V vs. RHE in an alkaline medium.
