Abstract:
Axillary artery pseudoaneurysms are an uncommon vascular pathology, particularly in pediatric population. In this report, we describe a rare case of an iatrogenic large left axillary pseudoaneurysm rupture in a newborn that require a surgical intervention on the 26th day of life. The patient recovered well after the repair and was discharged home. This case highlights the increasing importance of involving vascular surgery teams in the management of pediatric patients to ensure safety and deliver high-quality care. The patient's mother agreed to have their case details and images published.
