Abstract:
Over the past two decades, robotic surgical technology has become increasingly widespread worldwide. RAS (robotic-assisted surgery) has attracted surgeons across various specialties with its advantages of high precision, a shorter learning curve, and reduced postoperative pain, while also imposing new requirements on the entire surgical team, including anesthesiologists. The physiological changes and unique complications associated with RAS have brought major challenges for anesthesiologists, who should respond rapidly to patient responses throughout the entire procedure. This review focuses on the potential issues encountered in the perioperative management of RAS, as well as the application of RAS across several specialties and the specific intraoperative management challenges involved.
