Abstract:
MR enterography (MRE) is a well-established modality for diagnosing, assessing, and monitoring small bowel diseases, particularly Crohn's disease and especially when it extends beyond the reach of endoscopy or when repeated imaging is required. MRE provides comprehensive visualization of the bowel wall and mesentery, enabling assessment of disease activity and detection of transmural and penetrating complications. MRE has become the preferred imaging test for evaluating Crohn's disease, guiding treatment decisions, and monitoring therapeutic response and complications.
