Abstract:
The gastroduodenal region encompasses a complex anatomic area prone to diverse pathologies, including inflammatory, vascular, and neoplastic conditions. MR imaging is emerging as a useful diagnostic tool, providing superior soft-tissue contrast and high-resolution mural depiction without radiation exposure. Advanced sequences like diffusion-weighted imaging and dynamic contrast-enhanced MR imaging, combined with motion-compensation techniques, enhance tissue characterization and the accuracy of cancer staging. MR imaging is particularly useful for evaluating neoplasms. We discuss the practical uses of MR imaging in assessing gastroduodenal pathologies in this review article.

Peptic Ulcer Disease III: Clinical Manifestations and Diagnostic Studies
Few clinical manifestations differentiate gastric ulcers from duodenal ulcers. Distinctions in the location, timing, and pain relief are crucial for healthcare providers in differentiating between gastric and duodenal ulcers during clinical assessments.
