Abstract:
Recurrent or treatment-resistant chronic unilateral frontal sinusitis resulting from drainage pathway obstruction presents a major surgical challenge. Several techniques have been proposed, including frontal endoscopic sinusotomy (Draf), or inter-frontal septectomy using an external approach. This article presents a novel trans-septal approach for interfrontal septectomy, ensuring contralateral drainage in chronic or recurrent unilateral frontal sinusitis, preserving the frontal sinus drainage pathway.
