Abstract:
Reactive activated ester polymers are invaluable scaffolds for post-polymerization modification, yet their synthesis is often limited by sluggish polymerization kinetics. Here, microwave-assisted RAFT polymerization enables rapid access to well-defined poly(pentafluorophenyl acrylate), achieving 80% conversion within 45 min while maintaining good molecular-weight control (Đ < 1.1) and preserving activated ester functionality.
