Abstract:
We developed a skeleton engineering method for constructing hydrophilic hypercrosslinked polymers with antibacterial activity from indole-based aromatic monomers bearing different numbers of phenolic hydroxyl groups. The resulting porous networks enable rapid uranium capture via cation-π interactions with indole groups and complexation with phenolic hydroxyl groups.
