Abstract:
Plaque brachytherapy for primary uveal melanoma is a coordinated multidisciplinary effort that requires unique understanding of the contributions of each of the team members as well as knowledge of various radionuclide and the published guidelines on dosimetry, plaque construction, and quality assurance guidelines. This statement of training objectives for radiation oncologists serves as an outline for the necessary knowledge and technical skills needed for independent eye plaque brachytherapy practice.
