Abstract:
This article reviews established televestibular models from United States, Germany, and Australia. These services share core elements such as standardized history, targeted vestibular examinations, and remote expert interpretation. By extending neuro-otology expertise across multiple hospitals, they enhance equity and scalability while reducing unnecessary imaging, admissions, and missed strokes. Differences include operator training, technology requirements, and the professional background of the neuro-otology expert. Implementation challenges include sustaining workforce training, information technology (IT) integration, workflow adaptation, and funding gaps. This review provides practical insights into the workflows and resources required for emergency department televestibular models and highlights their potential to deliver meaningful system-level benefits.
