Abstract:
The integration of advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, teledentistry, 3D printing, and genetic diagnostics is reshaping modern dental practice. These innovations promise improved diagnostic accuracy and efficiency but raise significant ethical challenges surrounding transparency, consent, equity, and data privacy. This review synthesizes current literature on the ethical implications of these tools, with particular emphasis on AI in clinical decision-making. It highlights the need for informed consent, professional oversight, and equitable access. Ethical implementation will require interdisciplinary collaboration and proactive policy frameworks to safeguard patient welfare.
