[Testimony: does history inspire nursing thought?]

Abstract:
The 70th anniversary of the Journal Soins as well as the 30th of the textbook La Pensée infirmière, and the end of the author's term as director of the Nursing History Research Unit, this article takes a critical look at the place accorded to the history of nursing in nursing education. Through a feminist and political analysis, it highlights that historical knowledge is either overlooked or reduced to the figure of Florence Nightingale. By recalling the power once held by hospital nuns, it advocates for the full integration of this rich historical heritage into nursing education curricula.
