Abstract:
We present a genome assembly from a female specimen of Erebia pharte (Blind Ringlet; Arthropoda; Insecta; Lepidoptera; Nymphalidae). The genome sequence has a total length of 616.83 megabases. Most of the assembly (98.95%) is scaffolded into 20 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the Z sex chromosome. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 15.21 kilobases. Gene annotation of this assembly by Ensembl identified 15,135 protein-coding genes. This work is part of Project Psyche, a collaborative programme generating genomes for European butterflies and moths.
