Abstract:
Enhanced myometrial vascularity is an acquired condition, secondary to trophoblastic invasion, often mistakenly confused with congenital arteriovenous malformation, from which it differs in its pathophysiology and evolution. Diagnosis is based on transvaginal ultrasound, combining B-mode and color Doppler imaging. Most often asymptomatic, it resolves spontaneously after complete expulsion of the trophoblast. In cases of significant bleeding, active management may be necessary, guided by the severity of symptoms rather than imaging criteria alone.
