Abstract:
Transcriptome sequencing has been widely employed to investigate plant stress tolerance mechanisms, identify key genes, and facilitate molecular breeding. The gene Stas2-15 represents a key candidate for salt tolerance in potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) plants. However, publicly available transcriptomic datasets for this gene remain scarce. Therefore, generating more comprehensive data holds considerable value for potato research. Whole-transcriptome sequencing, differentially expressed gene profiling, as well as GO and KEGG enrichment analyses were performed on the Stas2-15-overexpressing line (OE-2) and wild-type potato cultivar 'Desiree' ('DES') in this study. The resulting data will aid studies on salt stress mechanisms, phylogenetic analyses, and breeding of salt-tolerant cultivars of potato.
