Abstract:
Abdominal wall metastasis is a rare metastatic pattern of clear cell renal cell carcinoma and is typically associated with advanced disease and poor prognosis. Due to its unique anatomical location and complex vascular supply, conventional systemic therapies have limited efficacy in controlling these metastases, and surgical resection is often challenging due to the deep-seated location of the tumor and its proximity to vital structures. Drug-eluting bead transarterial chemoembolization (DEB-TACE) is a promising locoregional therapeutic option for patients with refractory metastases. The present case report described a multimodal treatment strategy centered on DEB-TACE combined with an immune checkpoint inhibitor and a tyrosine kinase inhibitor in the treatment of this rare clinical scenario.
