Abstract:
Nondestructive ultrasonic imaging with multiscale failure analysis reveals pronounced edge-to-center aging heterogeneity in LiFePO4/graphite pouch cells after 2500 cycles. A slight anode overhang may drive lateral Li+ redistribution, possibly intensifying edge polarization and interfacial degradation.
