Abstract:
Although many patients have had satisfactory outcomes from arthroscopic anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction, persistent rotational instability and graft failure still occur. Therefore, the anterolateral ligament complex has been a newer focus of research. The addition of the lateral extra-articular tenodesis to augment anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction has been found to increase stabilization and reduce rerupture rates. We describe our surgical technique for performing a modified Lemaire lateral extra-articular tenodesis with an all-suture knotless anchor.
