Abstract:
Glandular odontogenic cyst (GOC) is a rare odontogenic lesion that predominantly affects the anterior region of the mandible and is associated with a high recurrence rate. It is typically asymptomatic and exhibits locally aggressive behavior. Diagnosis remains challenging due to the overlap of its clinical, radiographic, and histopathological features with other odontogenic cysts and even malignant lesions, such as central mucoepidermoid carcinoma. This challenge is further compounded by the limited number of well-documented GOC cases reported in the literature. The present study aims to report two cases of GOC, focusing on diagnostic aspects, treatment approaches, follow-up, and histopathological findings. Both patients are currently under clinical and surgical follow-up.
