Abstract:
Obstructive sleep apnea affects nearly 1 billion people worldwide, yet positive airway pressure therapy remains limited by suboptimal long-term adherence. This review examines how cloud-based telemonitoring, patient engagement platforms, and artificial intelligence are transforming management across sleep medicine by enabling predictive risk stratification, personalized behavioral interventions, and scalable automated care delivery. A multidimensional adherence framework addresses equipment, behavioral, motivational, and educational barriers simultaneously. Evidence supports hybrid care models combining artificial intelligence-driven automated management with targeted clinician oversight, key implementation considerations around reimbursement, regulation, data security, and equity, offering a replicable framework for precision chronic disease management beyond sleep medicine.
