    Background:

    • Bovine respiratory disease (BRD) is a significant concern in feedlot cattle.
    • Vaccination strategies aim to mitigate BRD caused by infectious bovine rhinotracheitis (IBR), bovine virus diarrhea (BVD), and bovine parainfluenza 3 (PI3).

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To evaluate the efficacy of different vaccination protocols and antiserum administration on immune response and performance in beef calves.
    • To determine optimal timing for pre-shipment vaccination against IBR and PI3.

    Main Methods:

    • Study involved 35 vaccinated and 29 control beef calves across five farms.
    • Multiple vaccination groups received modified live or live virus vaccines against IBR, BVD, and PI3 at varying times relative to shipment.
