Prostatectomy. A discourse on the indications for and the choice of operation

This paper deals with the indications for prostatectomy; the differential diagnosis of the symptomatology of bladder neck obstruction; and the factors influencing the choice of operation. Some points in the technique of prostatectomy are mentioned. Finally, the method of prostatectomy when obstruction is complicated by stone, diverticulum, or growth is discussed.
