Summary

Antibodies to bovine gamma-globulin (anti-BGG) can cause falsely high IgE levels in allergy tests. Using rabbit anti-IgE antiserum instead of sheep anti-IgE corrects these inaccurate radio-immunosorbent test (RIST) and radio-allergosorbent test (RAST) results.
