Biochemical approaches to the study of muscle disease

Several current approaches to the biochemistry of dystrophic muscle are reviewed with emphasis on the possible merits and limitations of each method. General difficulties in the study of diseased muscle apply more or less to each of the approaches. Data on dystrophic muscle obtained by technics developed for the study of normal muscle must be carefully assessed before reliable conclusions can be drawn
