Abstract:
Preoperative differential diagnosis of obstructive jaundice by simple methods may be useful for screening and for planning the operation. Interpreting the statistical evaluation of parameters of 89 patients it is suggested to use the "index of alimentation", i.e. the deviation from Broca's normal weight in percent. Its sensitivity and specifity is about 80%.
