Abstract:
Electric periods allow students in their clinical years a welcome opportunity to extend their medical experience in the field of their own choice. As a result of the experience with electives over the past few years, the Medical Faculty of the University of Cape Town believes that this is an exercise which is valuable to both the student and the faculty.
