    Summary

    111Indium-Bleomycin (111In-Blm) imaging shows accuracy comparable to mammography for palpable breast tumors. However, it is less effective for microscopic malignancies and axillary staging.

    • Accurate diagnosis of benign and malignant breast lesions is crucial for effective treatment.
    • Conventional diagnostic methods like physical examination, mammography, and thermography have limitations.
    • Novel radiopharmaceuticals are being investigated to improve breast lesion detection.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To evaluate the diagnostic accuracy of 111Indium-Bleomycin (111In-Blm) for benign and malignant breast lesions.
    • To compare the efficacy of 111In-Blm imaging with physical examination, mammography, and thermography.
    • To assess the utility of 111In-Blm in imaging both breast and axillary regions.

    Main Methods:

    • Intravenous administration of 111In-Blm to 37 patients with breast lesions.
    • Acquisition of early and delayed breast and axillary images.
