[Immunoblastic sarcoma: considerations on a recently observed case]

Supervening immunoblastic sarcoma in a patient with congenital immune deficiency is described. The literature suggests that this sarcoma may be a hyperimmune form similar to the GVHR described by Frizzera and the question whether or not angioimmunoblastic lymphadenopathy had previously occurred in the present case is discussed. The part played by the spleen and the effect of splenectomy on the progression of the disease are also examined.
